Social Support

Social Support services refer to assistance provided by a companion whether it be a worker or volunteer, either within the home environment or while a person is accessing community services or facilities.

Services May include:

  • One on One support
  • Social support groups
  • Telephone Monitoring
  • Home Visits
  • Letter writing
  • Advocacy
  • Social Outings
  • Group activities

Social Support is primarily to provide social support activities to frail aged people with disabilities and their carers who are isolated within their own home and reside in the Shoalhaven LGA.

Eligible clients will have access to a variety of regular social support activities which occurs on a weekly Basis which may include:

  • Arts & Craft
  • Shopping Trips
  • Field trips
